Picture the scene: You are enveloped in semi darkness, spot lights whirl around the breathtaking structure, the Face of Steel, standing at 150 feet. You start the 143 step climb to the jump zone, music pumps out of a wall of speakers, dry ice fills the air, and 7 huge video screens project images of what you are about to experience?and that?s before you?ve even taken the plunge! This is one of the UK?s scariest adrenalin experiences, one of only two indoor Bungee Jumps in the world and the only permanent Bungee Jumping facility in the UK. You will arrive at the location and make yourself known at the main desk; you will then be required to complete a membership form. You will then be weighed twice to ensure that the correct bungee rope is used for your jump. You will then climb the 143 steps to the top of the Abyss. Next it is time for you to get into the harness and to have the ankle straps attached. The professional staff performs a number of checks and double checks on all of the equipment. Now all you have to do is jump off into the semi darkness which is filled with dry ice, all the time your fall is projected on the 7 huge video screens around you! There will be a personalised video / dvd and merchandise available for you to buy to remember your experience with. Please ensure that you provide a contact telephone number when creating your account to purchase this item, as we need to pass this information on to the company that we book these experiences with.
Duration : You should allow around an hour from arrival for your complete experience. What to Wear / Equipment : Dress in comfortable, casual clothes. Skirts are not recommended (think about it). Locations : Sheffield, South Yorkshire Group Size / Spectators : You are welcome to bring spectators to watch you jump. Weather : Extreme weather conditions may affect this experience. If in doubt, please call the centre to check before setting off. Availability : Limited availability during the summer months only, please contact us for dates. Restrictions : Minimum age is 14. Under 16s need a parent/guardian's signature. Over 50s will need a doctor's certificate to jump. You must be in good health and you must make the centre aware of any medical conditions that you think may affect you being able to jump. Glasses and contact lenses MUST be removed prior to your jump. You can not bungee jump if you have any of the following: high blood pressure, heart condition, dizziness/epilepsy, pregnancy, asthma, neurological condition and diabetes.
